About Ahna

The Back Story

Ahna always had a propensity for languages. Diagramming sentences has been fun for her since grade school. She took that natural aptitude for language structure to her academic career, first in Russian and later in the English language.

Upon graduation from a Medical School in Kazakhstan, she immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, where she currently resides. She pursued the study of the English language with fervour and exactitude and is proud to recall a professor's feedback she received on her first English essay:

"...Your grasp of sentence structure is better than a good many of the native speakers I encountered at Langara [college]."

Several years after moving to Canada, pursuing her passion for neuroscience and helping people, Ahna went on to earn a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. Her strong writing skills earned her an invitation to submit one of her papers for publication.

In 2006, Ahna was diagnosed with ME/CFS, a debilitating condition precluding her from working outside her home. Since then, she turned her attention to writing, editing and creating short stories, essays, books, programs, brochures and a variety of other written communication.

She looks forward to assisting you with your writing challenges, whatever they may be.
